South Down Gardening, run by Neill Magowan and son Nathan Magowan, have recently rented some plant equipment from Kellys Point Hire to do some SERIOUS gardening work at a site in Omeath.
The site is a house and grounds that had been neglected for years, with dense foliage growing so thick and dense that the residence was completely inaccessible, and the house was not even visible from the road.
Kellys provided the following:
1 Forst ST8 Wood Chipper

1 Takeuchi TB230 Digger

1 Thwaites 1 Tonne High Tip Dumper

Neill's feedback was that the plant equipment has been absolutely essential for getting the job done quickly and correctly. He says that the wood chipper has been especially impressive, with over 50 tree trunks being put through it in just the past few days without it skipping a beat.
The site itself is situated on Main Street, Omeath just opposite Cloch Mor Cottages. With the site being high above the road, the views across the water of Warrenpoint and the surrounding areas were amazing, especially with the good weather and blue skies, so we took the opportunity to take some good shots of our equipment against an impressive backdrop.
