Kellys Point Hire were proud to provide plant equipment to Quinn Automatic Ltd for the renovation and restoration works at Warrenpoint Municipal Park. The official reopening took place today at 2pm.
Chris Gorman and Jordan Poucher from Kellys attended the opening where the red tape was cut, and Warrenpoint Silver Band and St Peter's GAA Band played fantastic live music from the newly restored Band Stand.
Our very own Jordan Poucher who works in internal sales in Kellys Point Hire is the great grandson of the original designer of the park, Thomas Smith, who designed the original park layout in 1906.
Pictured here is Jordan Poucher and other relatives and descendants of Thomas Smith, along with Chair Person of NMDDC, Mark Murnin, and Kelly Point Hire’s Chris Gorman who worked closely with Quinn Automatic to supply any and all plant equipment required for the restoration project.

As a result of these restoration works to preserve the heritage of the park, Warrenpoint now gives home to one of the grandest and most unique Edwardian band stands of it’s kind within the UK and Ireland.
The play park has also been fully restored now featuring a range of brand new climbing frames, swings and play areas.
All in all this is a project that Kellys are very happy to have been a part of, given that it’s in our own hometown of Warrenpoint, and so inherently connected to the very heritage and history of Warrenpoint itself.
We would like to congratulate all those involved for a project well done, and we hope that this iconic park will go on to be maintained and enjoyed by generations to come.
