Petrol Beam Screed
The ScreeDemon is a popular, portable, versatile, productive and easy to use walk behind (pedestrian) petrol levelling and vibrating screed device that professes to “vibrate like hell on the business end, yet has very low hand arm vibration at the operator position”, and can be used without the requirement to run off supporting form work, and is a lot less labour/time consuming than other methods of screeding/levelling freshly poured concrete slabs.
Unlike many 'similar' screeds, the ScreeDemon has a 4-Stroke Honda petrol engine and a high frequency vibration system that provides uniform distribution over the entire blade length, enhancing compaction, whilst reducing vibration levels transmitted to the operator. The ScreeDemon does NOT have an extended drive assembly, unlike many competitors models, which is often susceptible/prone to damage and wear.
The ScreeDemon uses extra rigid, double triangular, magnesium screed blades that are quickly and easily interchangeable, and range from 1.80m/6ft to 4.88m/16ft in length, enabling the ScreeDemon to be used for a multitude of screeding applications. Magnesium blades are in used in preferance to aluminium blades (as favoured by the majority of competitors) as it is lightweight, will not react with concrete like aluminium and is easy to clean.
